Head lice

Parents and guardians are strongly encouraged to check their child(ren) regularly for head lice and nits. The school nurse does not conduct routine classroom screenings for head lice. However, the nurse will assess a student if a teacher or staff member observes signs of a possible infestation. Any findings will be addressed in accordance with Duplin County Schools' head lice policy.
